The mission of the Mount Traditions Club is to foster a lifelong relationship with Mount Saint Mary's. Mount Traditions Ambassadors celebrate the University's rich history by highlighting our campus traditions (and maybe even creating some new ones!), create a sense of community and continuity by facilitating connections between current students and alumnae, and grow the culture of service by thanking donors and participating in fundraising events. In partnership with the Department of Institutional Advancement and the Office of Alumnae Relations, MTC members serve as ambassadors to keep classmates informed, plan student/alumnae engagement activities, recognize and thank current donors, and help grow the Mount’s culture and rich history. Model the Mount core values of leadership, service and philanthropy and share what you learn about longstanding Mount traditions. Encourage classmates to participate in student/alumnae programming and events. Motivate classmates to support the Mount and stay involved with the MSMU Alumnae Association.

Communicate

Share feedback with staff on classmates’ needs and accomplishments. Promote benefits and services available to students including Mount Connect for online networking and mentorship, Career and Professional Development programs and more. Seniors will help inform senior class programming as they prepare to join the MSMU Alumnae Association.

Support

Help classmates understand the importance of giving back to strengthen the culture of service and philanthropy at MSMU by participating in annual initiatives like the President’s Invitation to Serve and Mount Day of Giving.
