Mount Saint Mary’s University Alum Audit Procedure

Please follow the steps below to audit a course.

  1. Search for the course(s) you would like to audit by visiting the MSMU WebAdvisor. If you have questions about Webadvisor, please contact the MSMU Office of the Registrar at (213) 477-2520 or

  2. Email the professor and request written permission (electronic or hard copy) to audit their class, as approval needs to be obtained in writing. All courses available to audit are up to the discretion of the professor.

  3. Fill out the Audit Request Form below. To complete this form, you will need to enter to your alum ID number (If you are a grad from 2017 or 2018, your alum ID is the same as your student ID. If you graduated before 2017, please email to request your alum ID number). Once the form is completed, you will receive the Audit Waiver Form via email from the Office of Alumnae Relations.

  4. Turn in a copy of this form with your signature to the Office of the Registrar at the time of registration. [Email:; Phone number: (213) 477-2520; Fax number: (213) 477-2519] The form must be turned in with the written permission from the instructor.

  5. Turn in one copy of the Audit Waiver Form with your signature to the Student Accounts Office, along with the written permission from the instructor to ensure that the fee will be waived. [Email:; Phone number: (213) 477-2540; Fax number: (213) 477-2546]
