The Alum Emergency Book Fund was established to help students purchase their books. We all know how expensive textbooks can be. Sometimes students find themselves in financial difficulty after having arranged for tuition payments and other expenses, and they are unable to purchase the textbooks needed to ensure they excel in their studies. A grant from the Alum Emergency Book Fund can make all the difference in helping them to acquire the necessary books for the semester.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated by each student that benefits from this fund. Making a contribution, not only fulfills an immediate need in a student's life, but it also sends a message that the our alums care about them and want to do what we can to help them. This is all part of the Mount’s mission to give back. The students who receive this grant. write thank you letters to the Alumnae Relations office, and the majority of them state that when they become an alum, they wish to give back to students in need, just like the alums who have given to them.
